Dream Chronicles: The Book of Water Collector's Edition Review 28, July 2011
Classes for the semester are finally over! I passed all my classes with flying colors! I’ve also said goodbye to Lucy, and sadly my boyfriend (and her brother) Curtis and headed home. Curtis will be visiting me this summer and meeting my parents at the ranch. Meanwhile, we’ll have to rely on modern technology to keep in touch.
With gas prices and air fare high this summer, it looks like I’ll be staying home. As usual, I’ll be working around the ranch for my keep and when I’m not doing that, I’ll be spending hot summer days swimming in the lake or in my air conditioned bedroom working on a game guide. Ah, freedom!
Well, enough about me and on to the game! The fifth installment in the Dream Chronicles series, Dream Chronicles: Book of Water is my offering to you this time. What can I say, I would rarely rate a game 5 out of 5, but we are talking about the Dream Chronicles series here! As usual, they hit it out of the park with this one. I just couldn’t get enough! I created the guide based on the collector’s edition, but, it will work for the non-collector’s edition when it’s released. This means, no waiting for a guide! Back to basics. Graphics, as always, spectacular. Plot, it just keeps getting better and yes, there will be another one! I really hate to say too much for fear of giving something away. Let’s see, puzzles this time around were easy to moderately hard. Since this is an adventure game, there are no actual hidden object areas, but there are scattered items. They were pretty easy to find. However, there were the few here and there that blended in very well. I also rated this game’s uniqueness 3 out of 3. What can I say; there are no other games out there like Dream Chronicles! My one complaint… too short, I wanted more! On the up side, the story continues!
I urge you to purchase this game when it releases in the regular edition. If you have not played any of the Dream Chronicle games before, you must start with the first one. They must be played in order or they will not make any sense. We have guides here at Casual Game Guides for every single game in this series. I hope my next guide will be the sequel to Princess Isabella: A Witches Curse. Ding, dong the witch is dead? Yeah, maybe not quite yet. Until next time, happy gaming!
